Quran Learning Syllabus – From Basic to Advanced

Course Syllubus

Level 1: Arabic Alphabet

         Recognizing Arabic letters and their correct shapes

         Learning how to pronounce each letter (Makharij)

         Understanding letter joining (how letters connect)

         Reading basic letter combinations

         Differentiating similar-sounding letters

Level 2: Harakāt (Vowel Marks) and Reading Practice

         Fatha ( ـَ ), Kasra ( ـِ ), Damma ( ـُ )

         Tanween (ــًــٍــٌ) – double vowels

         Sukoon (ــْ) – silent letters

         Shaddah (ــّ) – doubled letters

         Reading simple Quranic words with Harakāt

         Short verse reading exercises

Level 3: Tajweed Basics

         Introduction to Tajweed (meaning and importance)

         Rules of Noon Saakin and Tanween

         Rules of Meem Saakin

         Qalqalah (echoing letters)

         Madd (elongation rules)

         Ghunna (nasal sound)

         Common Tajweed mistakes and corrections

Level 4: Quran Reading Practice

         Continuous reading from Juz Amma (30th Juz)

         Reading small Surahs with Tajweed application

         Correcting pronunciation and rhythm

         Understanding stop and start signs (Waqf rules)

         Daily recitation practice with teacher guidance

Level 5: Memorization & Understanding (Optional)

         Memorization (Hifz) of short Surahs and Duas

         Daily revision and testing sessions

         Tafseer (basic meaning) of selected short Surahs

         Islamic manners and etiquette during recitation

Level 6: Advanced Recitation (For Continuing Students)

         Full Quran reading with Tajweed perfection

         Advanced articulation and rhythm correction

         Tilawah with emotion and reflection

         Preparation for Quran competition or Ijazah
